Five Southern women, whose friendships began years ago on their college swim team, set aside a long weekend every August to recharge those relationships.
Free from husbands, kids and jobs, they meet at the same beach cottage on North Carolina’s Outer Banks to catch up, laugh and meddle in each other’s lives.
“The Dixie Swim Club” spotlights four of those weekends. During the play, the audience is exposed to the women at four different stages of their lives that span 33 years --- first when the women are 44 and then reintroduces them at 48, 54, and 77.
Main Street Players, 115 North Hill Street, Griffin, brings this Southern comedy to the stage, weekends, September 16th --- September 26th, 2010; Thursdays-Saturdays @ 7:30PM and Sundays @ 3:00PM.
New, lower ticket prices for Main Street Players: $20 adults walk up price, $15 adults in advance if they reserve on the web, $12 senior tickets and $10 for student tickets with ID.
Groups of ten or more receive a 10% discount.
